Wow! Helen, you and your writing are incredible. I’ve probably said this before but I still can’t believe how fortunate I am to read your posts. You are the cream of the crop 🙇♀️ (that is a ridiculously little picture of my enormous gratitude)
Blimey. It's a little ironic that that comment left me wordless for a while! (But don't worry - I'm in recovery!) Seriously though, your compliments are much appreciated. I think all creators must touch their own vulnerabilities to do work that really touches people and that can mean living in close proximity not only with subject matter that rings true universally but also with our own doubts and fears about our abilities and relevance. Comments like this help me separate those two categories. They dampen the latter to allow me to try my hardest to write about the former in an a way that is a useful gift to others. In other words, its teamwork. But when the inevitable happens and not every piece lives up to expectations I will revert to cliche.... it's not you, its me! x
Wonderful post that I've needed to read twice over. Sharing that your stories needed to be Narnia-like helped me alot because in the midst of stresses and crises I can move into a very linear way of thinking. And in those early morning I can't sleep places, I'll use this as a practice to move into more creativity and possibility.
Disclosure: it helps with the Narnia-like making that I live near a safari park and can on occasions actually hear lions!! I love knowing you will be creating magical tales for yourself!
Shalom, indeed! <3
Beautiful.
Beautiful, authentic, real, I can’t tell you how refreshing and inspiring your writing is😍
You just did didn’t you?! 🙏
😂👍🥰
What a wonderful post! Thank you so much for being here!
