"It matters because in our creative world our ability to whisper permission to ourselves is the start of all our work." Beautiful - I will hold this reminder each time I sit down to work, my "permission slip".

Please do share with me what you give yourself permission to create!

I've given myself permission to become a writer of stories related to remodeling my own life as I was remodeling my family's home...a home built in 1922 by my grandparents that has been in my family for just over 100 years. I now own the home after the passing of my 94 year-old father in 2022. It will be about what I discovered about myself while also renewing and bringing much-needed new life to my family home. The ideas have been swirling for awhile and I'm ready to begin plotting it out. Happily I've recently engaged with a creative coach and a wonderful community of creatives to offer insight and support.

Thank you so much! I sincerely hope one day you'll be able to do just that! You're a great inspiration, as well as Dr. Sharon Blackie.
